Filipino army troops patrolled war-torn areas of Marawi, Friday, as the fight between government forces and Maute group militants continues.
Armed troops were seen driving through the city's streets, stationing themselves among the wrecked houses, and navigating a local river on a patrol boat.
Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte said that he would order the "carpet bombing" of Marawi if necessary, speaking to reporters in Cagayan de Oro City, on June 20.
